CBSE Class 12 Hindi Syllabus 2020-21 aims at developing your deep understanding of the basics of Hindi, Hindi grammar, prose and poems written by great authors. CBSE Class 12 syllabus 2020-21 for Hindi (Core) contains 4 sections or ‘Khand’ that carry a total of 100 marks. The distribution of marks goes as follows. ‘Khand Ka’ or section 1 deals with unseen passages (Apathit Gadyansh) and has been allotted 16 marks, ‘Khand Kha’ that is section 2 deals with official Hindi and creative writing based on the book ‘Abhivyakti Aur Madhyam’ and has been allotted 20 marks, the third section or ‘Khand Ga’ that carries a weightage of 44 marks, is based on textbooks ‘Aroh Bhag 2’ (32 marks ) and ‘Vitan Bhag 2’ (12 marks); ‘Khand Gha’ or fourth section contains hearing and oral tests along with project work. Hearing and oration have been allotted 10 marks and project work has also been allotted 10 marks.
CBSE Class 12 Hindi Core Syllabus 2020-21: Chapter-wise
Hindi Core Syllabus of CBSE Classs 12th consists of three books ‘Aroh Bhag 2’, ‘Vitan Bhag 2’ and ‘Abhivyakti Aur Madhyam’. There are two sections in ‘Aroh Bhag 2’ namely ‘Kavya Khand’ (poetry section) and ‘Gadya Khand’ (prose section). The poetry section has 10 chapters. The book Vitan Bhag 2 has 4 chapters or full stories. Finally, you have to learn the prescribed writing lessons in Book “Abhivyakti Aur Madhyam’’. CBSE Class 12 Hindi Core Aroh Bhag 2 Chapter 1: Harivansh Rai Bachchan
The first poem in this chapter is ‘Atmaparichay’. This poem tells you that it is more difficult to know oneself than knowing any other person. A person has different flavours of relationship with the surrounding society. But it is also difficult to stay disconnected from society. The second poem is ‘Ek Geet’. It has been taken from the book ‘Nisha Nimantran’. This poem discusses the daily changes taking place in nature. CBSE Class 12 Hindi Core Aroh Bhag 2 Chapter 2: Alok Dhanwa
The poem ‘Patang’ has been taken from the writer’s only collection of poems. This is the third portion of a very long poem. This poem gives a description of the emotions and desires of a child. The title of the poem itself signifies the high rising yearnings of a small child.

The poem ‘Kavita Ke Bahane’ is part of Kunwar Narayan’s poetry collection ‘In dino’. This poem discusses the difficulty in the existence of poems in this world in the current scenario. The poet envisages that mechanical life will hamper creativity, and eventually, poems won’t be written any more. The poem ‘Baat Seedhi Thi Par’ is taken from another collection named ‘Koi Doosra Nahi’. This poem describes the complexity and easiness of a language. The poem ‘Camere Mein Band Apahij’ is taken from a collection with name ‘Log Bhool Gaye Hain’. This poem is about a physically challenged person and depicts the pain he goes through when the television interviews ask him similar types of questions each time, and he does not feel comfortable being asked about his disability. This poem highlights how we, as humans, should be considerate toward other humans, especially those who have been put through such types of challenges by nature.

The poem ‘Saharsh Sweekara Hai’ is a poem from the collection ‘Boori Bhuri Khak Dhool’. Here the poet discusses the difference between accepting and happily accepting something. The first poem of this chapter ‘Chota Mera Khet’ is a concise description of the things done during farming. The second poem ‘Bagula Ke Pankh’ describes a beautiful scene. The poet has used several comparing statements to beautify the poem. The poem ‘Rubaiyat’ by Firaq Gorakhpuri personifies the moon as a relative. The poem explains how a mother shows her child the moon and makes the child play with it.
