Important Topics for Lakhmir Singh Physics Class 9 Solutions Motion (Chapter 1)

Motion

If an object’s position changes with time, it is known as motion. It is basically described in the terms of distance moved or the displacement. Motion is of 2 types – Uniform motion and Non-uniform motion depending on the velocity, whether the velocity is constant or is changing.

Speed

The distance covered per unit time is known as the speed of the object.

Displacement

When we move something from its place or position, this action of moving the object is known as the displacement.

Velocity

The displacement which occurs per unit time is known as the velocity.

Distance

When 2 points are taken, the length between these 2 points is called the distance.

Summary of the Chapter

In Chapter 1, the concept of motion is explained. Everything at some points shows movement and thus, Chapter 1 – ‘Motion’ is explained in detail. Motion is all about the change in position of an object.

But motion is of 2 types- Uniform motion and Non-Uniform motion. The motion is said to be Uniform when a body travels an equal distance in equal interval of time whereas the motion is said to be Non-Uniform when a body travels the unequal distance in the same interval of time. Moreover, the concept of Speed and Velocity is also explained in the Chapter.

The solutions given by Instasolv makes the concepts easy and understandable by the students. The solutions help in increasing the knowledge of students on a specific topic and subject. Hence, this pattern helps students so that they can score more marks in the subject.
