Plants are similar to most of the other organisms on earth. They use oxygen. These results that plants breathe. In this procedure, complete oxidation of organic materials occurs in the presence of oxygen liberating water, carbon dioxide, and a huge amount of energy found in the substrate. Aerobic respiration is most usually found in higher organisms. For it to happen inside the mitochondria, the eventual product of glycolysis, pyruvate is progressed from the cytoplasm into the mitochondria. Some vital events taking place are:
