The Animal Kingdom is classified into five major types including Kingdom Animalia, Kingdom Plantae, Kingdom Fungi, Kingdom Protista, and Kingdom Monera.
The kingdom Animalia is also referred to as Metazoa. It includes all the animals in it. Animals are multicellular, eukaryotic organisms, which are generally heterotrophic. This states that they attain their nutrition from organic sources. Most animals get nutrition by ingesting other organisms or by decaying organic material.
Plants are living creatures fitting to the kingdom Plantae. They consist of conversant organisms such as trees, bushes, grasses, herbs, vines, mosses, ferns, and green algae. Creatures fitting to the plant kingdom are eukaryotic and multicellular organisms. They have a separate cell wall made of cellulose. Cells are structured into true plant tissues. Plants cover plastids and photosynthetic pigments including chlorophyll.

Monera is a kingdom that consists of unicellular entities with a prokaryotic cell group, such as bacteria. These organisms are generally single-celled organisms with no true nuclear membrane. The organisms of Kingdom Monera consist of 70S ribosomes. The DNA is naked and is not certain by a nuclear membrane. It lacks organelles like mitochondria, plastids, lysosomes, endoplasmic reticulum, Golgi bodies, centrosomes, etc.
Some examples of Kingdom Monera include Heliobacter pylori, E. coli, Hay bacillus, Salmonella, and Staphylococcus aureus.
Segmentation refers to the splitting up of some animal and plant body plans into a sequence of repetitive segments.
