Oscillations

Oscillation states to any periodic motion moving at a distance about the balanced position and repeating itself over and over for a particular period of time. The energy in simple harmonic motion refers to the amount of its kinetic energy and potential energy. Therefore, the energy in the simple harmonic motion of an element is directly proportional to its mass and square of the frequency of oscillations.

Force Law for Simple Harmonic Motion

The force performing simple harmonic motion is proportional to the displacement and is always engaged towards the centre of motion. The simple harmonic motion refers to the motion performed by an element subject to a force, which is proportional to the displacement of the element and is directed towards the mean position.
