Question

Sol. (3) Let the number be ( x ) and ( y ). According to the question, ( therefore x+y=45 ldots ldots ldots ) (i)
Again, ( x-y=frac{1}{9}(x+y) )
or, ( x-y=frac{1}{9} times 45 )
or, ( x-y-5 ldots ldots ) (ii) By ( (i)+ ) (ii) we have, ( x+y=45 )
( frac{x-y=5}{2 x}=5 )
or, ( x=25 ) ( therefore y=45-25=20 )
Now, LCM of 25 and ( 20=100 ). .

# Ex.2. The sum of two numbers is 45. Their difference is of their sum. Their L.C.M. is (1) 200 (2) 250 (3) 100 (4) 150
