Let us suppose the first force to be ( 3 x ) and the other force to be ( 5 x ) Now resultant can be given by sqrt ( left[a^{star} a+b^{star} b+right. ) 2abcos(angle between a and b) so in this case the resutant becomes ( =operatorname{sqrt}left[9 x^{*} x+right. ) ( left.25 x^{star} x+15 x^{star} xright]=35 ) N it is given hence, ( 7 x=35 ) hence ( x=5 ) so the values of the forces are ( 15 mathrm{N} ) and ( 25 mathrm{N} )
